The product owner is responsible for ensuring that market and product requirements are appropriately reflected and implemented in a finished product.
Largely an inward-facing role, the product owner is the main liaison between product marketing, product management and the engineering team.
The product owner is an expert on the functionality of a specific product; as such, s / he often supports other groups such as sales engineering, implementation, and technical support / customer service.
Job Responsibilities
Main liais : on between product management and the engineering team, understand the product strategy as defined by product management
Collect product requirements from key buyer audiences and end users
Coordinate the creation of product mockups and prototypes
Fulfills the ""product owner role"" principally responsible for prioritization and maintaining (or grooming) a backlog which maximizes outcomes aligned with the product strategy (roadmap) for one or multiple agile development teams
Write and present the product requirements document
Oversee and sign off on the functional spec
Oversee the product as it is being built by development / engineering
Communicate with stakeholders during the development of a product to keep them updated
Coordinate testing of a product, including user acceptance testing, alpha and beta programs
Collect, coordinate, and prioritize bug fixes

Qualifications
4+ years in related field
Experience in B2B SaaS business analysis or product development preferred
Complete understanding of the ""Product Owner"" role
Ability to balance gut feel judgement and logical analysis. Willingness to 'rip off the bandaid' and make decisions
Able to mentor and advise other scrum teams and team members, especially on Product Owner role
Ability to fulfill the ""Product Owner"" role effectively (maximizing outcomes per roadmap) without day-to-day support for multiple teams
