Descripción We are seeking a bilingual (English / Spanish) director of business development in the Dominican Republic, preferably Santiago or the Capital.
We are a small software company based in Miami that develops custom cloud database applications for businesses, governments, and organizations.
A few examples of the kinds of software we build include CRMs, inventory management, human resources, facilities management, and field service scheduling.
We have recently established a branch office in Santiago to begin marketing our products and services to the Dominican market and beyond in Latin America.
As our first employee in the country, you will be responsible to develop our sales and marketing function here, from strategy to execution.
This includes identifying key markets and specific prospects, and executing a sales program to win new business for the company.
In addition to new business development, you will manage relationships and ongoing projects with our customers here. Because our Dominican customers will primarily be Spanish speaking, but our engineering and development staff in the U.
S. is English speaking, you will need to act as the go-between between the customer and the development staff to ensure customer requirements are correctly understood and delivered according to expectations.
The fixed base salary and benefits for this position are negotiable. The position also entitles you to earn variable commissions on sales, which can greatly increase the total compensation.
Requisitos Experienced B2B sales or business development executive with understanding of different industries or service sectors and their internal processes here in the Dominican Republic
Ability to work independently with minimal direction to build a new customer base for our products and services in the Dominican Republic
Excellent interpersonal communications skills and emotional intelligence
Honest and reliable
Motivated to succeed and strong work ethic
Project management experience
Knowledge of the Dominican economy, business climate, and professional etiquette
Capability to identify prospects, make cold calls, set appointments, and meet with business decision makers to understand their needs and present our solutions
Professional oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish Indispensable
