An individual who provides direct patient care utilizing respiratory techniques, policies, procedures, protocols to ensure quality and appropriate care for all ages in Baptist Health and effectively communicate with all team members.
Understands and has knowledge of respiratory medications effects and side effects.An individual who demonstrates respiratory clinical skills and knowledge in the management of all types of patients (adult / pediatric).
Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement to provide leadership and support to maintain working relationships with internal and / or external customers.
Constant evaluation and monitoring of services assures quality care to the patient. This individual may participate in hospital wide committees and respiratory care throughout Baptist Health and effectively communicate with all team members.
Degrees : High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion or GED.
Licenses & Certifications : Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), valid Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
Additional qualifications : Associate Degree preferred, National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification preferred.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and / or Pediatric Advanced Life Support and / or Neonatal Resuscitation Program required as per entity / unit specialty.
Minimum required experience : two years.
