The Work You’ll Do

The Manager, Product Marketing will lead a team of product marketers who drive product launch, market & buyer research, and sales enablement for a portfolio of products.

The manager, product marketing role is strategic and creates the long-term vision and value proposition for the South Americas region.

This position must have an expert understanding of the product’s buying audiences and their needs and often acts as a subject matter expert (SME) who transfers knowledge about markets, buyers and product across marketing and sales functions.

He or she provides coaching and direction for his or her direct reports and ensures they can operate effectively by utilizing and complying with the organization’s go-to-market processes.

More specifically, you will :

  • Align the team and direct reports around a cohesive go-to-market strategy / plan focusing on the customer, personas and pain points
  • Create value proposition development and offer positioning Develop deep understanding of the buying audience by conducting research and gathering insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for the organization’s products
  • Collaborate with sales training to produce sales enablement plans for a product portfolio, including training, sales enablement materials and tools
  • Drive an audience-centric marketing approach for a product portfolio, ensuring messaging, content and campaign strategies are centered around customer buying needs
  • Create and socialize the following product-level documents : marketing plan, sales enablement plan and launch plan.
  • Develop the competitive positioning for a product portfolio by using competitive analysis with input product management, customers, experts and the field.
  • Oversee relevant product launches by collaborating with product management and strategy leaders to apply a launch model and ensure launches are integrated with campaigns
  • Develop customer references, testimonials and case studies for external and internal use, or partner with a formalized customer marketing function in doing so
  • Establish strategies to drive retention, upsell and cross-sell for a product portfolio, and partner with a customer marketing and field marketing to execute
  • Manage the hiring, development and retention of product marketing talent
  • What We Need From You

  • Five to seven years relevant B2B product marketing experience
  • People leadership skills preferred
  • Strong influencing, management and cross-functional capabilities
  • Previous experience with ERP, P2P or other financial systems preferred
  • Ability to navigate culture and collaborate across functions and regions
  • Strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Ability to analyze information collected in win / loss and pipeline behavior and effectively diagnose opportunities and root causes of problems
  • Ability to create clear and effective value propositions and messaging platforms
