Requisition ID : Reports directly to Pipeline Construction Manager along with to the Pipeline Regional Manager in the Home Office and assists the Pipeline Regional Manager as directed.
The Pipeline Project Field Superintendent / Specialist is responsible for directing the direct hire field construction or serving in a consulting and advisory role as requested on other department projects as required.
Provides leadership, guidance and assistants in the areas of construction procedures, logistics, and planning for pipeline and pipeline temporary facilities, developing construction equipment schedules, leading the Plan of the Day meetings, leading the development and update to each 180 days and 3 weeks look ahead schedule, interfacing directly with the client (MLP INCO) area manager, requisitioning and interviewing FNM staff.
Also, responsible for assisting Business Development and management in expanding current work scope, developing proposal technical and pricing strategies and preparing proposal execution strategies / plans.
Supports communications and presentations to customers. Supervises the development of budgets and schedules, manages performance, reports progress, and initiates action to assure program / project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications.
Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of the project to the customer. Leadership for the development and maintenance of high performing project teams.
Has overall responsibility for the project construction execution, ensuring that project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety and to Customer and Bechtel performance expectations.
When assigned to a field construction organization performs a supervisory or managerial duties as required. Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi : area or a multi : discipline construction project.
Is the primary client contact for all jobsite activities, and may coordinate with clients resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations follow design / specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

Responsible for the field workforce organization to ensure the jobsite organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel, and ensures effective personnel utilization.
Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within budget.
Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility. : Ensures performance evaluations are conducted on assigned personnel and counseling programs are maintained.
Ensures subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities. : Responsible for craft resources as assigned and coordinates the activities with designated manager and corporate craft resources department.
Administers a security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department. : Responsible for administration of assigned area(s) contractual activities.
