JOB DIMENSIONS :
A. Supervision Received
Receives technical and operational direction from on-site supervising engineer or other assigned supervising manager.
B. Supervision Exercised
Provides technical and administrative advice to field engineers and technical and administrative support personnel for TOC and traceability field engineer tasks
Contacts are with client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and other on-site related discipline personnel, as assigned, in the performance of TOC & Traceability duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :
Responsible for construction TOC & Traceability program activities, such as development and implementation of inspection plans, within an assigned area of responsibility.
Determines requirements for, and directs preparation of, technical and administrative documents and reports.
Within assigned area, monitors the performance and overall progress of construction inspections to ensure adherence to the field quality control program.
Maintains quality control records in support of activities in the assigned area of responsibility.
Implements procedures and policies established by others and develops procedures, as required, for the performance of assigned functions.
Monitors construction, material and installation activities that meet the project specifications and the criteria established in the procedures.
Ensures continuous, progressive training of personnel of construction.
Ensure quality in issuing construction procedures and site engineering documents
Review the correct completeness of protocols and traceability of construction documents.
Review of delivery TOC from construction to pre-operations
Assurance of traceability of laboratory controls for the different disciplines.

JOB KNOWLEDGE :
Technical knowledge of field engineering related to various disciplines (Civil, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical)
Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero accidents" safety program.
Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project's Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) Manual and the Basic Bechtel Processes in relation to the area of responsibility.
Knowledge of the current Bechtel project and the quality standards of the industry.
Demonstrated ability to develop detailed contract-based inspection plans; Bechtel, project and industry quality standards;
and design documents approved by the project.
Demonstrated leadership in a team environment.
Familiar with Bechtel's manual and business ethics policies.
Knowledge of the specific environmental compliance requirements of the project. General awareness of environmental laws.
Computer skills in word processing applications, spreadsheets and databases according to the current standards of the Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP).
Knowledge of standard work process procedures (SWPP).
This knowledge is normally acquired through :
A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, OR
Specialized courses in related engineering disciplines, AND / OR
Work experience in quality control aspects of construction inspection, testing and installation activities.
