Infrastructure Project Engineer - 110kV Power Line & Water Pipeline Relocation - Santiago-(AUS0004BD)
We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our upcoming projects in Chile. As part of this challenging new venture, we are recruiting a team of professionals, focused on spearheading early works on our site activities.
As part of this early works team, we require a Infrastructure Project Engineer - 110kV Power Line & Water Pipeline Relocation, in this role you will have full ownership and accountability for the delivery of a sub-project work area on this large, complex EPC project, ensuring that it is defined and delivered in accordance to the contracted requirements (such as scope, quality, time, cost) and in accordance to the key stakeholders’ objectives.
About the role
The scope of this position involves the relocation of approximately 5km of overhead 110kV power line & 5km of 24 inch diameter buried steel water pipeline
Deliver each sub-project work area according to contracted requirements by managing the scope of work, quality, budget, schedule, resources, risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain operational lines of communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Resource planning, Resource coordination, Guiding and achieving timely decision-making and Liaison between internal and external groups and geographies (e.
g. satellite, site and home offices).
Subcontractor selection and Subcontractor management.
On site monitoring & active site support of construction activities.
Deliver accurate and meaningful project reports (or sub-reports) by tracking actual performance against planned performance, identifying and closing out risk, and by consistently adopting the Ausenco approach to project reporting.
Effectively manage scope changes and trends actively identify quantity, cost and time trends and manage the change process.
Effectively define scopes of services and scopes of facilities / work across all or several disciplines within engineering, procurement and construction
Develop strong relationships that can be accessed across projects to provide support and assistance. Manage interfaces with peers on the same project.
Coordinate supply of goods and services to meet required vendor data dates and required on site target dates.
Resolve issues and communicate project requirements to ensure timely completion of contractual obligations
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - in both Spanish and English
Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
Self-aware and high attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to own and deliver a defined scope of services or scope of works
A planner, looks ahead over each project phase and anticipates challenges on weekly and monthly timeframes
Professional and committed approach, can operate without detailed supervision
Competent to specify and interrogate basic plans and reports for cost and schedule control
Holds or acquires detailed knowledge of relevant company standards and procedures
Previous experience and sound project delivery track record as a field engineer, contracts engineer, or project engineer on construction projects for mining industry infrastructure.
10+ years of specific experience in similar high voltage power lines & / or pipelines will be preferred.
Proven experience in the coordination of engineering, procurement, site construction & tie-in / commissioning activities
Proven experience selecting & managing sub-contractors
Capability & flexibility to transition to other Project Non-Process Infrastructure packages once the110kV power line relocation & water pipeline relocation works are completed
