Job Overview : The Banking Solution Architect will beresponsible for supporting the Oracle Banking Sales Managers in the Americanscountries from both a functional, solution and commercial perspective in thefinancial services and banking industries.

The candidate will be responsiblefor leading the sales cycle and will be responsible for the overall solutiondesign to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and forleading a team of resources through the sales cycle.

Responsibilities : + Own the solution on majorengagements.+ Play an integral role in thesales process utilizing knowledge of products and their capabilities toassist sales executives in addressing client / prospect requirements.

  • Develop appropriate product solutionsto meet client / prospect business requirements.+ Drive solution assuranceprocess on behalf of sales executives to obtain client / prospectrequirements, identify and prioritize functionality gaps with the salesexecutive and the client / prospect, initiate request-source process toobtain estimates to address functionality gaps or define appropriateworkarounds, and gather all necessary information for internal suppliersto commit to performing the conversion.
  • Drive commitment process onbehalf of sales executives to obtain internal commitment to perform workdefined in solution assurance documents.
  • Provide direction to salessupport team for creation and packaging of proposals.+ Drive cross-LOB opportunitiesand works with the other LOBs in order to provide the best possiblesolution and proposal for a client's requirements.
  • Provide input to appropriatesections of Requests for Proposal and Requests for Information.+ Set up and deliver productpresentations / demonstrations to clients / prospects either in person or viaweb-based tools.
  • Create and maintainopportunity-specific product presentations and collateral.+ Participate in businessrequirements review with client / prospect.
  • Participate in product releaseprocess.+ Provide feedback onclient / prospect requirements to product managers on regularly scheduledbasis.
  • Interact with vendors and otherorganizations where appropriate to evaluate third-party vendoropportunities and solutions.
  • Understand current business / industry environment (financial services and banking) including relevantregulations, business drivers, evolving business needs etc.
  • Develop and present proposalsfor Business review and approval.+ Other related duties assignedas needed. Desirablequalifications, experience, knowledge : + 10 years proven track recordin providing solutions to the conventional financial services, capitalmarkets or banking sector in Latin America.
  • Must meet skills and experiencementioned above in Responsibilities.+ Functional domain experiencewith product vendors, System Integrators or banks on core bankingapplications like SAP, FLEXCUBE (Oracle), Finacle (Infosys),Globus / T24 / IBIS (Temenos), Midas / Bankmaster / Equation (Misys), Banks / Quartz(TCS), Symbols (SunGard, SystemAccess), Backbase or similar vendor applications.
  • Previous experience with OracleFLEXCUBE or Oracle Banking Platform is highly advantageous.+ Strong knowledge of banking& finance fundamentals, retail / commercial banking products life cycle,accounting and back-office operations.
  • Relationship managementexperience with Corporate Customers, either in a presales or delivery role(e.g. as a Consultant or Project Manager).
  • Excellent communication skills(verbal and written).+ Excellent presentation skills.+ Excellent interpersonalrelationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.+ Ability to understand andcapture business requirements.+ Fluent English and Spanish.+ Must be willing to travel(>
  • 50%).+ Must be willing to coveraccounts in multiple countries across the Americas. Detailed Description and Job Requirements Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology / application to client business.

    Facilitation of customer product / application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

    As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.

    Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

    Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

    Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

    3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database / tools.

    Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors.

    Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills : needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

    Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed.
