Maersk is looking for an Equipment Associate to join us in our Santiago office. The Equipment Associate plays an important role ensuring the performance control of depots in the country and the coordination of empty positioning and empty evacuations of containers to prevent out of stock and overstock situations, aligned with regional targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Performance control of depots in the country.
  • Coordinate empty positioning and empty evacuation of containers to prevent out of stock and overstock situations, aligned with regional targets.
  • Monitor, control and reduce operational costs related to empty containers. Support and Develop cost saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with Trade and Commercial areas, to continuously improve forecast accuracy.
  • Actively engage with multiple stakeholders across the Liner Operations Cluster (LOC), commercial brands and other country areas, to optimize the working relationships across organizational entities.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the equipment flow in accordance with the planning schedules and anticipates discrepancies that may arise : Monitors process to guarantee enough and appropriate equipment stock in all country depots.
  • Ensure that all bookings will be attended in due time.
  • Provide full support to Customer Service and Sales desk.
  • Pull reports and build analytical overview about stock and container flow.
  • We are looking for

  • University studies completed
  • 2+ years of experience in roles of international commerce, operational roles involving shipping, logistics or the freight forwarder industry
  • Advanced English level (85% of fluency)
  • Office intermediate proficiency (Excel)
