About the role
We are looking for a Public Policy Manager to join our fast-growing team in Chile and lead our Public Policy & Government Relations efforts, reporting directly to the Chilean General Manager.
The policy expert will help define our policy priorities, and work directly with policymakers, regulators as well as third parties to cultivate positive relationships with national and local actors.
This person will also work towards ensuring that the regulatory framework in our cities supports rides haring apps like Beat.
What you'll do day in day out :
Identify, develop and advocate for policies that support the growth of ridesharing and new mobility options
Develop and implement Beat’s legislative, regulatory and political strategy in Chile
Engage with public and private stakeholders - including governments, regulators, third parties and academics on a range of policy issues relevant to the cities we operate in Chile
Ensure compliance with group policies, positions and standards.
Build stakeholder engagement strategies and campaigns that promote and enhance the overall reputation of Beat
Work cross-functionally with Beat senior management on developing public policy priorities that advance Beat’s operations and business interests
What you’ll need to have :
6+ years working with institutions, government officials or parliament in understanding and managing policy issues and a proven ability to evolve in complex environments
Law Degree or Political Science degree preferred
Experience of the legislative process
Fluent in English and Spanish
A strong interest in mobility issues; experience with a transportation agency, governmental experience is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
