Support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area. Increase new and existing business by supporting the Sales organization to have relevant knowledge of products and markets.

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager, Latin America for Drive Products and System Drives Divisions in ABB’s Motion (MO) Business area.

In this position, you will be reporting to Regional Sales Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Sales development to build stronger sales units in Latin America
  • Coordinate sales support actions towards respective sales units
  • Driving specifications and influencing end users and developing new accounts and channels
  • Co-operation with other area sales managers and technical support
  • Reporting. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls

  • The position will be ideally based in Santiago, but it will depend on the candidate's location in LATAM
  • University degree in engineering or business administration
  • Several years of experience in sales and sales development
  • Basic knowledge of the Drives products
  • Knowhow on industrial applications and automation
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent social and collaboration skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and flexibility
  • Must be flexible to travel
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Ideally, you have Spanish and Portuguese language skills
