Position at a glance : This position is for a new team within the existing Risk & Compliance Analytics practice at Evalueserve Chile supporting a leading U.
S. retail bank’s mass market segment risk oversight area that is responsible for independently overseeing the regulatory and operational risk activities within the line of business.
The risk oversight team will support the buildout of a strong risk analytics foundation to identify and aggregate data across transactions, interactions, customers, team members, and products for the purposes of supervising and monitoring operational and conduct risk inclusive of sales practices.
These capabilities will enable near real-time monitoring and surveillance and provide key metrics, analytics, and reporting to enhance accountability throughout the branch’s leadership structure.
Responsibilities may include :
Analyzing structured and unstructured data across consumer lines of business using SQL, SAS, Python, and other tools to identify new or emerging operational risks and to ensure that business processes are working as designed
Retrieving, combining, and transforming data from numerous sources across the enterprise
Taking initiative and driving each project to completion with minimal guidance, while effectively managing multiple projects at the same time
Collaborating with business leaders, first-line groups, and second-line groups to define business rules and requirements
Coaching and mentoring other team members
Partnering closely with leaders across different lines of business to understand and quantify identified risks
Thinking creatively and identifying opportunities to leverage advanced analytics approaches, including machine learning
Contributing to operational excellence by sharing knowledge and adhering to quality standards and best practices
Participating in Evalueserve initiatives related to mind+machine projects, innovation, training, and development Required Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following : reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business / social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following : reporting, analytics, or modeling
Demonstrated SQL skills including the ability to write complex queries and database knowledge in order to analyze data sources across a variety of sources
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate trends and impacts to mid-senior level management
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment with changing priorities
Strong collaboration and partnering skills Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in operational risk management
Knowledge of retail / consumer banking products, sales processes
Prior experience working with risk or analytic capabilities
Expertise in SAS, Python, or R
