If you share our DNA and are aligned with our purpose Make the zero carbon transition a reality , then join our journey to a better world, and apply for our new position : You will be our : Senior Business Developer for South America based in Santiago (Chile) F / MPurpose : Grow the H2 business through commercial greenfields and brownfields in the assigned geography and in accordance with the H2BU strategy and ENGIE’s investment criterias.

The Role reports to the Global Head of Business Development of the H2BU.Main accountabilities : You will be responsible to lead the definition of the entrance strategy into new markets and countries in coordination with the H2BU’s strategy, the regional ENGIE business unit and other relevant functions, as well as the prospection and the development and internal approval of a portfolio of projects in line with the H2BU’s strategy (mainly large-

scale greenfield and brownfield projects) until their respective closing and handover to the implementation teams, in the South American countries (Mexico to Chile).

The projects are extremely varied and range from exploratory to thorough technical and economic feasibility studies with their associated, complex licensing applications, structuring, financing and other project building blocks.

Together with equity and other partners, you will co-develop and implement large scale industrial projects focused on renewable-

based hydrogen production, distribution and valorization towards end-customers, often in a competitive environment and with short deadlines.

This includes leading the negotiation and the finalization of documents such as offtake agreements, supply agreements, consortium and shareholders agreements, EPC and O&M arrangements, financing and security documents, organization and management of due diligence missions if any, etc.

You will actively setup projects towards a clear scope and specific objectives, and identify, in consultation with a multidisciplinary team, of the best options for all components of the projects : offtake, technology, equity partnership, ownership structures, contractors, suppliers, financing, etc.

You will compare and evaluate system concepts (and develop alternatives) in order to find and implement the best solutions, applying a co-

creation approach with our partners and clients.You will work together with and functionally manage a number of other internal functions such as Engineering, Finance, Legal, etc.

You will work in close cooperation with the management and the teams of the ENGIE Latam and Brazil Business Units. You will interface with other ENGIE functions such as Business Lines, Business Development Oversight, Group Strategy, etc.

You will also interface with the customers , the partners and other relevant stakeholders organizations. In addition, you will maintain regular contacts with different authorities at a local and regional level and closely monitor the relevant legislation (grid connection, authorization process, etc) as well as any relevant subsidies.

You will be the by-default interlocutor of the various stakeholders based in the assigned region, in coordination with the stakeholder management function of the H2BU and the business developers of the various other regions where such stakeholders might be involved.

You will manage the project schedule and budget and ensure the project meets the set objectives within the given mandate.

You will lead the analysis of the project risk allocation and mitigation as per the ENGIE methodology and will identify upside opportunities and other valuable optionality around the project.

You will lead, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary project team and the second regard or review team, the preparation of all necessary documents for internal approval and documentation : Advanced Notices, Investment Notes and related memos, strategic and country notes as required, risk matrixes and assumptions books as required, various applicable reports.

You will participate to the Project Review Meetings and the Commitment Committees, both at the H2BU and at Group HQ levels.

Once the projects would have reached closing, you will ensure the smooth transition from the development to the implementation (Build and Operate) phase to the project manager.

You will be a permanent promoter of ENGIE as a green hydrogen solution provider. You will propose and participate to various relevant conferences, including as speaker or panelist, and organize workshops with various business prospects.

You will contribute to the general market intelligence, competition and technology watch, etc.You will also contribute to the business development department tasks such as budgeting, data base, etc.

You are graduated in engineering, finance or economics, with proven technical / financial / commercial expertise in large industrial infrastructure projects, including preferably in the area of renewable energy.

You have a proven experience with technical, financial, economic and legal aspects of business transactions and a proven transactional record.

You have a skill set in project management, that is, the administration of technical projects, planning and follow-up, budget management, contract management, purchasing etc.

You have very strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills. You are able to work in a multicultural environment and multidisciplinary teams.

You are customer and solution oriented.You have a strong strategic awareness and are able to integrate new technologies, solutions, concepts and ideas into tangible business opportunities.

You are capable of working with limited supervision and are proactive.You are capable to manage yourself and your project team in a high workload, short deadline and competitive environment, while delivering the expected business outcome.

Team player, you have very good communication and social skills and you are able to lead a team through the various challenges of business development.

You speak and write fluently in English and Spanish. Portuguese and French are pluses.Position is full-time and based in Santiago de Chile, with frequent travels in South America and worldwide.
