Northrop Grumman C4 Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit is seeking a Business Unit Director, Manufacturing to lead manufacturing operations at the Huntsville Manufacturing Center (HMC) and Virginia Beach facilities.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL and reports to the C4MD Business Unit Vice President.

Responsibilities include : Leading the Business Unit strategy for manufacturing, in support of overall Business Unit objectives for growth, efficiency, and predictable program execution

Working closely with other members of the senior staff to align manufacturing development with technology and business opportunities

Broadly contributing to the overall strategy, management, and growth of the Business UnitPartnering with local leadership peers of Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Mission Assurance and Program Offices to ensure successful overall performance and on time delivery

Driving to instill a culture of collaboration, inclusion, trust, and accountability

Assessing and recommending improvements in talent, processes, and tools including advanced manufacturing techniques and enhanced deployment of digital approaches along with other investments to achieve desired outcomes

Creating and leading teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting Manufacturing execution in support of Division objectives

Collaborating with technology and supply chain organizations for strategic capability forecasting and strategic sourcing

Leading significant Program Start up reviews and Manufacturing Readiness Level assessments

Basic Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Excellence, Engineering, Science or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years experience

Possess strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, effective communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority as well as strong people leadership skills

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic and high visibility environment

Manufacturing production or manufacturing Engineering Leadership experience

Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Agile or Six Sigma ToolsDemonstrated understanding of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Advanced Manufacturing / Manufacturing TechnologyDemonstrated understanding of Resource and Capacity Planning ToolsKnowledge of financial management including project and process control and budgetsUS Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance up to Top SecretPreferred Qualifications : Preferred : with masters degree

Advance degrees and / or certifications such as MBA, Six Sigma, or related is a plus
