Job Description

Sr Manager, Supply Chain

Location : Chile

Reports to : Director, Supply Chain Latam

Summary The Sr Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for supporting UA Chile’s business strategy by developing and managing an end-to-end Supply Chain organization, processes and tools that deliver customer satisfaction across the different channels and costs savings through efficiency gains and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

STRATEGIC & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT :

Be an integral part of the Subsidiary Management team; Create, execute and monitor country and account specific annualized business plans that are aligned to the Customer, Subsidiary and Regional Supply Chain strategic plans.

Develop and maintain a customer and consumer focused organization (Customer Service, Demand Planning, Distribution, inbound, outbound, Inventory management, 3PL, Carriers) by applying strong people management skills and business understanding.

Maximize country Net Revenues and Profitability through optimizing the fulfillment process and by leveraging your role as a member of the regional management team.

Jointly with the Regional and HQ Supply Chain Management team and the local country management team develop, implement and execute supply chain strategies in line with country / local / Regional initiatives.

Continue to develop a robust Sales and Operation Planning process (S & OP) that creates a consensus based forecasting process with cross functional partners, both globally and regionally, and exposes variances to the plans early in the season to anticipate potential issues.

SUPPLY CHAIN TARGET SETTING, BUGET ALIGNMENT & EXECUTION

In close cooperation with country management team (Sales, Finance, MD) and Regional Supply Chain Director set monthly / quarterly / yearly shipping targets (inbound & outbound) that are aligned with the budget to achieve the Revenue goals of your Country.

Set all the Supply Chain targets internally with your team.

All Operational implications are communicated and understood by the local management as well as regional.

Directly responsible for the order management process within the fulfillment process by managing the order portfolio, maximizing potential revenue opportunities and leveraging logistic infrastructure within total delivered cost.

The query management and reverse logistics processes, plus the budgetary impacts require on-going attention and a close working relationship with the credit department.

Maintenance of effective and accountable office procedures and record keeping is essential.

Develop, execute and monitor performance against department budgets. Find the appropriate balance between local country business needs and those of the Regional & Global organization.

DEMAND PLANNING & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Drive the top down and bottoms up long range demand forecast process and ensure alignment with strategic financial targets.

Lead and manage the consolidation of demand forecasts. Reconcile long, medium and short range forecasts with capacity and financial plans.

Lead communication of variances in demand plans and inventory to strategic objectives, in coordination with Demand Planning function in the Region and Headqarters.

Lead communication of variances in these global and regional demand and inventory plans. Work with suppliers and supply chain directors to ensure sufficient capacity exists in the supply base to meet demand.

Define and maintain accurate size curves for replenishment materials to drive size-level forecasting and buying - ensure best chance of availability on all sizes throughout the product lifecycle

Create and maintain safety stock levels that support inventory and service level targets.

Track & monitor replenishment product forecast against bookings, monthly.

Review key assumptions and rationale of style (color) demand plan and its components with merchandising team. Reconcile and resolve differences between merchandising expectations at any point in time and challenge them when the sku efficiency is not in line with the targets.

Incorporate gap closure action plans for alignment between the demand plan and strategic targets, and between the demand plan and supply.

Gain consensus on action plans in coordination with supply chain directors, regions and finance on a regular basis.

Negotiate and influence line planning and regional forecast direction to close gaps

Inventory Management :

Defines and leads Inventory Management strategic objectives to materialize in the most profitable way :

Set yearly regional buy / inventory strategies, supporting the targets set for planning :

DFC : set, review and reconcile inventory targets at regional level on a month rolling process to efficiently manage inventory, for all business (Wholesale, Retail, DTC)

Coverage : establish best demand vs. supply match to enable adjusted sales order coverage levels.

Air Freight management : manage air freight budget in the most cost effective manner. Your KPI is 2% of PO placed

  • Liaise with Regional and Global Planning functions to review and action any capacity / supply challenges impacting local l supply on the short and long term;
  • Liaise with Regional and Global functions; through the S&OP process, to review and action any capacity / supply challenges impacting regional supply and deliveries.

    Provide timely information and recommendations on flow, assortments, inventory levels and potential opportunities / risks.

    Lead and participate in the RTB (Run the Business) and S&OP process and work with business partners to implement process improvements and procedure / policy developments to support Delivery Precision & Customers satisfaction objectives.

    Continuously seek opportunities to improve Inventory turns (product life-cycle management, flows to factories, minimizing early inventories ) impacting positively on the Regional balance sheet, maximizing revenue opportunities while minimizing risks and costs (warehousing capacity, transportation issues, financial implications, etc.).

    LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT (INBOUND, WAREHOUSING, OUTBOUND)

    Set the direction on the inbound and outbound transportation, forwarding, customs and cost controls.

    Lead the Supplier services and deliverables to 3PL

    Set the standards and control for return logistics and support quality control processes

    Monitors and optimizes the communication of the delivery information and dates.

    Speed & Service to the subsidiary multichannel strategy is the main priority

    Monitors & Evaluates the performance, contract and Service Level Agreements of the logistic service providers.

    Develops and implements logistic procedures

    Define partners and providers to Inbound (International Freight, Transportation Mode, Customs Clearance) and Outbound (Freight), focused on Service Levels combined with costs savings opportunities

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Drive translation of Under Armour Supply Chain strategies and local initiatives into specific Customer Service Strategies ensuring alignment and execution

    Create and drive Customer Service strategic priorities, track results, analyze the business, and manage the order portfolio, while maximizing potential revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction

    Ensure Customer Service and supply chain performance is constantly monitored through specific metrics against the agreed SLA and drive actions to improve accordingly

    Drive execution of Account Sales and Supply Chain business plans based on the defined strategies.

    Ensure alignment of Customer Service Organization with Sales

    Responsible for maintaining a clean and accurate orderbook management

    Provide monthly Customer Service KPI reports and status to local management

    Proactively engage in the setting of aligned targets between Sales, Finance, Customer Service and 3PL Operations

    Plan, co-ordinate and control the activities of the customer service team to maintain and enhance customer relationships and meet organizational and operational objectives

    Drive order management process improvements and innovation designed to enhance our customers' experiences with Under Armour

    Direct the daily operations of the customer service team, plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department.

    Ensure the necessary resources and tools are available for quality customer service delivery.

    Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the Sales, Finance and 3PL functions and the Management team in the country as well as Regional and Global Organization

    Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the key players from Under Armour’s customers and vendors. Be the primary contact for the accounts for Customer Service related issues and supply chain topics.

    Share best practices within the Customer Service and Regional teams.

    Master Data : directly responsible for Customer Master Data management, in line with Finance / Internal Controls

    SALES OPERATIONS

    Directly responsible for Run the Business activities, acting as a connector across the different functions of the business

    Main source of data / reporting regarding Sales, Orderbook and Inventory, in line with FP&A data

    Optimizing Order Book activities & driving OB on a subsidiary level. This role is key representative in cross functional forums to ensure OB capabilities are processed.

    Responsible for Orderbook Allocation across the different channels, in line with pre-defined prioritization logic

    Ensure Good Business processes are known and shared through our Supply Chain organization as well as across departments.

    Process :

    Understand, analyze, quantify and document current CS processes.

    Develop and maintain inventory reports / scorecard, including inventory targets for KPI’s (inventory levels, DFC, obsolescence, out of stock etc.

    that ensure optimal commercial exposure while keeping inventory levels at a minimum.

    Share reports, scorecards and conclusions with both the Merchandising and Logistics teams and advise on any improvements.

    Logistics :

    Analyze space requirements to accommodate new season buys and work with Supply Chain manager, 3PL and key stake holder.

    In cooperation with the 3PL plan and deploy physical inventory and cycle count procedures

    Monitor correct processing and reports about inventory in- and outbound bookings, corrections and transfers.

    Ensure correct inventory levels in and between the various warehouses based on forecasts and demand planning.

    Item Master Data :

    Directly responsible for working with merchandising, Supply Chain, IT, sales, ecommerce, and finance to define and establish the overall management strategy and approach to data clean up, maintenance and quality control.

    Systems :

    Ensure daily production support needs are met in terms of SAP B1

    Support and coordinate with Production Support to ensure resolution of critical support & systems bugs

    Coordinate Order Book management activities to gain efficiencies on key KPI

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Educational and professional background :

    Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or 5 years’ experience proven

    Track record of Distribution Management in changing environment

    3 years of leadership experience

    Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, experience in implementations of ERP, SAP is an advantage

    Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma programs and Kaizen improvement techniques.

    Strong command of written and spoken English and local language
