Role Summary

We are looking for a consultative sales professional with a good balance of account management and new business skills. This role will be responsible for managing and growing revenue and market share for designated accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve the company’s strategic objectives.

This will involve developing and maintaining strong client relationships in order to both retain and upsell the product portfolio and ultimately drive revenue growth.

Two key success requirements for the Account Manager will be to develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the product portfolio and align this understanding to the needs and pains of each individual customer and prospect.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manages, retains and grows revenue; responsible for sales and the customer relationship (may include new sales and revenue quota attainment).
  • Cultivates customer relationships and ensures effective service delivery to accounts.
  • Focuses on customer's satisfaction, knows the customer's business and workflows, develops proper contact network within accounts.
  • Supports execution of strategy at the account level.
  • Works with and brings in experts / specialists onto the team where required; has oversight of all account activities.
  • Responsible for forecasting; keeps management in touch with accounts in a timely fashion; gathers intelligence on competitor activity, and gives feedback to marketing.
  • Acts as point of contact for the client, provides escalation path to and from service, and attends to customer issues promptly.
  • Tracks customer activity in internal systems in order to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities.
  • Owns account relationship and drives overall customer satisfaction for assigned accounts.
  • May be responsible for net sales and revenue for assigned accounts.
  • May provide customer product training as necessary.
  • Accountable for individual expense budget management.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in a consultative selling environment, including experience selling to Government, Academic and Private institutions in Chile and other countries in Latin America.
  • Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflows.
  • Relationship building, selling and effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency.
  • Problem solving skills - ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills to interact with all levels of leadership; ability to customize content, presentations, and documents for different audiences.
  • Strong time management skills to plan and prioritize workload and demands to consistently deliver on commitments.
  • Ability to work with remote cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with core stakeholders; ability to gain and retain customer confidence and respect through being customer focused and an active listener.
  • Efficient multi-tasker who can successfully work in a very high-pace, dynamic environment.
  • General computer aptitude and quick software learning skills.
  • Mastery of Spanish and English languages, Portuguese would be a plus.
