Dedication to excellence Golder has a new opportunity for a "Project Delivery Manager" to join our team in Santiago, on a full time contract basis based in Chile.

The Project Delivery Manager, will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, controlling and supporting the growth of a portfolio of projects with the objective of delivering them as per agreed timelines, cost and quality parameters.

The purpose of the role is to deliver projects for the Group, with responsibility for the successful delivery of all elements, to specified levels of time, budget and quality.

This will include implementation, development of existing provisions and general business development for the Group. An overview of your role will include :

  • Ensure the successful and safe execution of assigned projects, so that HSE, time, cost and quality targets are achieved and to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure the application of best Project Management practice, including corporate initiatives on all projects, to facilitate effective and successful project completion.
  • Manage the generation of execution strategies for all assigned projects, so that the most cost effective approach is taken and so that there is a common basis for planning by all functions.
  • Lead liaison with all project support functions, to ensure a coherent and robust approach to project activities.
  • Responsible for all project reviews, including risk reviews, so that relevant managers in the business can accurately assess the status of the project and take / recommend any corrective action
  • Identify potential adverse future events on projects and take timely corrective action, so that risks to achievement of the project objectives are eliminated
  • Development of high quality tender response documentation and collaborative working with sales leadership
  • Provide input to estimating and tendering activity as required, including undertaking the duties of Bid Manager so that all relevant issues, actions and risks are understood and taken into account
  • Lead the identification and allocation of suitable resource for the project, in cooperation with peers and functional managers, so that the project can achieve its targets whilst not undermining other activities within the business
  • Development and mentoring of staff to ensure that there is a capable succession plan
  • Ensure compliance of labor legal requirements in your local jurisdiction You will have a background in :
  • Civil Engineer University Degree or alike.
  • 10 years of experience in Engineering Consultancy companies with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Project Delivery role.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships throughout an organization, combined with a proven track record in strong customer service orientation and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in dynamic environments
  • Proficient in core office programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Oracle, Skype) and capable of learning key HRIS / role specific applications
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness and a positive attitude even in stressful or adverse situations. Competencies and attributes
